Indian Cricket Team – A Dwindlink Champion

This time Indian Cricket Team is going through its worst conditions. A year before, the condition of Indian team was impressive as well they showed commendable performances and won so many series inside or outside of India. But now this time the situation is totally different. Neither batsmen nor bowlers are showing any performance as required. They are continuously losing matches and series.

Rohit Sharma, Shikar Dhawan, Dhoni, Raina and other batsmen, all were playing very well in India but when they stepped out in overseas like South Africa and in New Zealand, their performance was consistently degrading. Our all batsmen are not feeling secure themselves on bouncy and fast track pitch. Short pitch deliveries are creating big problems for Indian cricket team. They lose their wickets and openers are flop to make a big start as required in every match.

However, Batsmen performed quite well in recent matches against New Zealand but Bowlers’ performance is going too weak match by match. They are not succeeding in taking wickets and also not controlling over run rate in every match. They are making approx 300 runs against opposition in every track, either to bowling or batting wicket. It’s not a good sign for Indian Cricket.

India’s striker bowlers Ashwin, Ishant Sharma and others are not improving their performances and getting flop in overseas. Ashiwin is the super flop bowler from India who has taken only 2 wickets since last 8 matches when played outside of India. Other bowlers are too costly except as Mohammad Shami and Jadeja if it is seen as performance point of view for Indian team.

It is tough situation for Indian Cricket because next World Cup will be held in Australia and New Zealand in the beginning of 2020. By comparing to recent performances of India on fast pitches, it looks there is no chance for Indian cricket team to win the world cup because the players are not experienced like previous ones as Sehwag, Gambhir, Yuvraj and Zaheer, Harbhajan and others.

They all were part of world cup won team in 2011. But now this time these all are not in the team and are suffering from bad form and fitness problems. Sachin Tendulkar has already taken retirement in all the formats of Cricket.

Whereas Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan and other teams are getting strong and they also have the strong bench strength. On the other side Indian cricket team is looking very tired and out of order. It seems like they don’t know how to play outside of India.

While Indian Cricket team also won many tournaments in overseas at the time when S. Ganguly was the captain. That time India team used to play positively against all the types of tracks and they had strong techniques for playing. But this is the time of Dhoni; many people say that it is the best team of Cricket ever.

Do you agree with this statement? According to me, it is No. There is no comparison between S. Ganguly’s team and Dhoni’s team and it has been proved. MS Dhoni many times performed consistently poor in matches.

It is other thing that India has won both the World Cup T20 and ODI in the captaincy of MS Dhoni but only considering these good performance we can’t say that this is the India’s best team because most of the matches only won in India not in overseas.

Every team always needs at least one or two senior players who can motivate and make a balance in dressing room but in Indian Cricket team there is no any senior player this time. It is not true that all players have taken retirement. They are playing in domestic matches but our great captain MS Dhoni doesn’t want them into the team back.

If Indian Cricket Team wants to grow up then this is the right time to establish. It requires senior players back into the team as Sehwag, Gabhir and Yuvraj. These are all the players of India whose presences are enough to make pressure on the opposite side. They also have the experience to play on every type of wickets and have the abilities to handle pressure and stay on the crease till the end. They require only one chance to make comeback into the team if India wants a strong Cricket team.
